To Clean Lace.

When I asked the tailor for some gasoline, telling him I wanted just a little for cleaning some lace, he said to me: “If it’s ■ for white lace. I’ll put in just a bit of chloroform with it, for ft Is the best thing possible—the combination of a little chloroform with the gasoline.” I used this mixture on suede gloves also, and the result on both articles was a perfect success, and most easily accomplished. Of course, the utmost caution must be observed in employing these materials. Use in fresh air away from fire.—Good Housekeeping Magazine.
