Miss Elizabeth Luers, of Rensselaer, spent last Tuesday with Miss Rose and Amelia Lane. Mr. Thornton has his store and house at .Surrey painted, which helps the looks quite a bit. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Lahe and daughter, Rose, were shopping in Rensselaer Saturday. Mr.- and Mrs. Milt Grimes and daughter, Dile, were in Rensselaer Saturday. Milt Grimes, wife and daughter, Dile, spent last Tuesday at Brook with Mrs. Grimes’ sister, Mrs. W. D. Mayhew, and family.
