The cornerstone for the new St Joseph’s Catholic chuch, costing SIOO,000, was laid to Hammond Sunday. Thousands of people from every direction Socked to to take part in the celebration. The parade, which was accompanied by four bands, including the Forester’s band of Rensselaer, and Barney Young’s hand, was participated to by MOO men, representing twenty-two different societies. .
