The propensity of a dog that has Just been puJfchaspd to run away, going back to Its former home, may he curbed by purchasing the former home and moving Into It The dog will then see that It Is futile to try to leave its new owner. Last winter’s coal bills should not ’ be thrown away. When the hot: weather comes they will afford the means ,of whiling away many a dull hour. ; cS If you do not care to oat the pastry shell in which creamed chicken i* served at a luncheon, yon may deftly conceal it far slipping it into the pocket of the nearest gentleman. Cold cabbage left from last night’s corned beef dinner may be made Into a beautiful dessert thus: Place the cabbage in a convenient tin pan. Then In your freezer place the Ingredients for a sherbet, and freeze them as usual. Now take the cabbage and throw it in the garbage pail.
