Mr. Harper is building fence this week. A few in this vicinity have some corn planted. Mr. and Mrs. Clawson went to Fran cesville Friday. Mrs. Frank Walters, who has been quite ill, is improving nicely. George and Sam Bowen and N. F. Kupke were Rensselaer goers Monday. Mr. and Mrs. John Newcomb spent Sunday with/ Mr. Heiferline and family.— Mr. and Mrs. John Bowen, Mr. and Mrs. N. F. Kupke and children went to Monon Saturday. > Mr. and Mrs. Fred Himes went to Winona Saturday to visit the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rex. * Mr. and Mrs. John Burris, of Newland, spent Friday and Saturday with the latter’s parents, Mr .and Mrs. Jerry Hess.
