Dr. W. O. Shepard Elected Bishop of Methodist Church,

Two bishops were elected et the Minneapolis conference Tuesday. Dr. T. >. Henderson and Dr. W: C. Shepard. Dr. Shepard dedicated the Methodist chnrch in Rensselaer on Jan. 7th, and those who became acquainted with him are pleased at his election. He is a graduate of DePaaw university. , - - - The Presbyterian general- assembly in convention at Louisville, Ky>, Tuesday, took a positive stand on the temperance question.
