Mayor In Minneapolis. Appoints Policeman After His Sweetheart Pleads for Him. Minneapolis.—Because Mayor J. C. Haynes believes in romance, R. H. Friedrich, who is 6 feet 2 inches in height and weighs 230 pounds, today is a member of the police force. Some two weeks ago Friedrich catted on the mayor to see about a position on the force. The next day Louise Leubener visited the mayor.
