Take three eggs, two cupfuls of sugar, one cnpfnl pf butter, one cupful of cold water, three cupfuls of flour, one teaspoonful of cream of tartar, a half teaspoonful of soda. Flavor the mixture with lemon. Mix in the order given. Half of this recipe makes a large cake. '"vT*
