Prunes and Dumplings.

Three eggs, three cupfuls of flour, half a teaspoonful of salt, one heaping teaspoonul of baking powder; beat the eggs light; add the flour mixed with the baking powder and a little water to make the dough slightly thicker than for cake; drop a spoonful at a time into prunes, when cooking; stew a quantity of prunes quite soft; have plenty of water which has h@6tt added when cooking; then add butter and sugar enough to suit the taste and flavor with nutmeg. Do not stop the boiling while dropping in the dumplings. ' *
