Veteran Railroad Track Walker.

The oldest railroad track walker in Central New York is Richard Mahaney of Jordan, who, in twenty-eight years of service with the New York Central, has walked 51,106 miles. Mahaney’s territory extends from a quarter of a mile west of the station at Jordan to two and a quarter miles east of the station. He makes one round trip every day of the week. He is sixty-three years old.
