Young Checker Player Coining From Lee to Meet Local Players.
Roy Noland, a blacksmith at Lee, who Is said to be a checker expert, is coming to Rensselaer Tuesday to tackle the local players, including J. A. McFarland, Frank Hill, Sam Stevens, E. M. Thomas and any others, who care to play. Noland is said to’have spent five years in the Klondike country and to have developed his talent there. He is also reported to have made a cleaning of Hammond players.
