Wilson, who has been in charge of the musical depart ment of Culver Military Academy for eleven years, severed his connection with the school this week, and has gone to Kankakee, !!!., where he will become a member of the faculty of the Drake school of music. Mr. Fuhr, at present the teacher of vocal music at Culver, will succeed Captain Wilson. . service men are investigating the recent appearance in South Bend of counterfeit half-dollars and are confident that a minting outfit is located in that city. Greathouse, state superintendent of public, instruction, has held that the office of town councilman does not disqualify a resident of a town from serving as a member of the town school board, although the councilman receives $25 a year for his sendees. The decision was based: on a supreme court decision, in which it was held that the office of town councilman is not a remunerative office
