Feared Forest Fires.

The severe drought in Austria and the danger of forest fires deprived the visitors to Marienbad and Carlsbad of one feature in connection with the emperors eighty-first birthday celebr&tion. The woods In and about these spas were to be illuminated in many artistic ways, but all the arrangements were canceled by order of the town councils.
