Elvin Russell spent Sunday, with Roy Bussell and family. John M. Johnson’s will move to the Dr. Kreslet farm west of Pleasant Ridge the first of this week. He moved his father and mother to Rensselaer last - week. - > . Teachers’ institute was held at MCCoysburg Saturday, but owing to some of the teachers being sick and unable to attend, only a forenoon session was held. Superintendent Lamson came out after dinner just in time to see the teachers getting ready to go home. The illustrated lecture on the manners and customs of the people of Switzerland, by Rev. E. M. Kuonen, was attended by a full house. The lecture was quite instructive. The door receipts were $9.50, one-half of which went to the Sunday school and church. Reed McCoy has bought a grocery stock at Monticello and will invoice and get possession before March Ist if possible. The store building is located just north \>f the public square and is said to be a very fine location. He purchased the stock of the firm of Smoker & Smoker, but in the transaction does not become the owner of the building which is said to rent for 338.00 per month. Mr. and Mrs. McCoy will ship their household goods to Monticello this week.
