Restrictions on Pulque Drinking.
Pulque shops must close earlier and restaurants may remain open later, was the decision reached at the cabinet meeting, says the Mexican Herald. Abraham Gonsalez, minister of Gobernacion, announced that after January 15 all places where pulque was sold must close at 6 p. m., except on Sundays and holidays, when the closing hour would be at noon. Restaurants, by paying a higher license, may remain open un|il three o’clock in the morning. Furthermore, the tax on pulque is to be advanced from 75 centavos the hectoliter to a peso.
