The senior class reception given at the home of Alfred Thompson Wednesday night with the junior class and the faculty as guests was one of the most pleasant social events of the season. The parlor and reception hall was beautifully decorated in red and white, the junior colors, and the living room in black and gold, the senior colors, while the dinning room was decorated in pure white and red hearts pierced with arrows. Red hearts, on which were pasted small pictures, were passed and the guests were asked to write the prophecies of the members ofthe junior and senior classes whibh the picture represented. After fifteen minutes they were collected and read. Messrs. Dean, Lee and Sharp were chosen as Judges. Many original and humorous prophecies were read but William Babcock was given the prize with his prophecy on “Pete’ Thompson, in which he said “Pete” would rise in the world as he rises from his seat for recitation. Partners for supper were chosen by matching small red hearts, which were fastened to red and white ribbons and interwoven. about the room.. When paper hearts failed to match the real hearts did. The refreshments consistedof red and white" cream hearts, angelfood cake and mints.
