Williams in the practice of law, and who has been in Oklahoma City for several years, is reported to be walking on crutches now. For some time he has been taking an active part in the work of the Good Citizens’ League of that city and has been a frequent contributor to an Oklahoma City newspaper, his articles criticizing the laxity of law enforcement there. According to a story which has reached the cars of The Republican, he was recently a leader in a “Carrie Nation ’ stunt, in which a number of good citizens raided the blind tigers in Oklahoma City.. At one of the joints Mr. Baughman and his followers met some opposition on the part of a joint keeper, and Mr. Baughman was pushed or knocked down in such a manner that he severely strained the tendons leading from the heel to he calf of one leg. It is probable that he will not let a little accident like this de-.jr him in the good work in which he has been leading for law enforcement in Oklahoma City.
