Obituary of Mrs. Ell Dowell.
Elizabeth Tillsbury was born in Sidney, Ohio, July 25, 1834, and died January 15, 1912. On May 28, 1851, she was united in marriage with Eli Dowell, and to this union eight children were born. Two died in infancy and Mary A. Thomas died four years ago at Rensselaer, Ind. Five of the children are still living, Thomas E. Dowell, 6f El reno, Oklahoma; Josephine Ponder, of Columbus City; William H. Dowell, of Indianapolis,lnd., Lizzie A.-Rice, of Elreno, Oklahoma, and David A. Dowell, of this place. Mr. Eli Dowell died two years ago. Mrs. Elizabeth Dowell united with the Methodist church several years ago and lived a true and faithful worker until the end. She was always ready and willing to help those who were*in need. She was a kind mother, true and faithful wife and neighbor. Those present at the time of her death were her sons David and William Dowell and one daughter, Josephine Ponder. She bore her suffering without a word of discontent and said she was ready to go and meet her savior. The funeral service was held at the house, Jan. 17, by Rev. Edgar Moore, pastor of the M.
