Mize were business visitors at Indianapolis last Thursday and Friday. Perry Hamilton. of Chicago, came Friday for a visit here with his parents and other relatives. Annie Behles, of Tefft, was here Tuesday and reported that her sister was somewhat improved. Mrs. Hamer Brown returned Tuesday „from Frankfort, where sae had been visiting her husband. Dr. L. N. Wells, of DeMotte, was called Sunday jn consultation on the illness of Miss Edith Miller. Mrs. Samantha Tilton went to Knox Saturday for a visit over Sunday with Mrs. W. C. Kitter, of Wellsboro, Ind., visited here Saturday and Sunday with his wife and children, Mrs. Knitter being on the sick list at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James East. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Mason, of Lowell, returned home Tuesday after a visit here with his sick mother, who has been quite seriously ill the past ten days but is now some better. Senator Halleck, of Rensselaer, and Attorney Harry Miller, of North Judson, were here to try a law suit Thursday but Abe’s client took a change of venue to Squire Hobbs at Kersey. - Capitolia Swisher returned from Evanston Saturday and visited at the home of George Stembel and family. Her parents, who have been visiting in the city for the past two months, returning to Wheatfield -this week. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Lidtke returned Friday evening from their honeymoon trip in the southern part of’ the state. They will be at home to their friends in Brewer cottage on Grove street in the near future. Miss Annia Lidtke, who attended the wedding, returned home with the newly-

The several ice houses have, been filled the past week with a nice quality of ice. Adain Spencer has been on the sick list the past week and unable to go to school. John Ruisaard; Lon Swart and Clifford Dutton went to Wheatfield Tuesto attend the Bacon sale. Trustee Tunis Snip and the teachers of Keener township attended joint institute at Tefft last. Saturday. Chas. E. Kersey, who has been buying grain here this season for Babcock & Hopkins, has shipped more grain from here and Kersey than has been forwarded from this vicinity sow several years. There is a new and commodious elevator being erected at this point. Several friends called at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Sparling last Saturday to remind him that he was not forgotten on his seventy-eighth birthday. Henry was remembered by many tokens of esteem in which he is held in this vicinity. He was also remembered by friends and relatives living at a distance in the. way of birthday postals conveying wishes for many more birthdays. ■ „ Mrs. A. R.
