Elmer Gwin in Texas.
Elmer. Gwin has returned from a trip to the valley of the Rio Grande, on the gulf coast of Texas. He was so taken with the country and impressed with its many advantages that he has purchased a 20 acre tract near the town of Pharr, Hidalgo county. Mr. Gwin states that the time and space will not permit of his telling in detail of the many wonderful things he saw but he speaks most emphatically of the courteous treatment he received from the Western Land Co., of Chicago, from whom he bought the land, and in whose private car “Pharr" he made the trip. Although made inj the coldest month of the yepr the pre-? vailing warm breezes from the Gulf made one forget the cold, the thermometer to the contrary, notwithstanding. k Mr. Gwin brought back with him many samples of growing crops and has a head full of facts and figures, which he says he will gladly impart to anyone desirous of the information. He thinks it such a good proposition, and as there is enough for all, is willing to let hid friends share his “find” with him. While he traveled 3,500 miles to and from his destination, there were so many Intensely and instuctivc things to see, and the time was passed so pleasantly in the Hotel Car of the Western Farm Land Co., that he wants all his friends to know what a good time he has and he bespeaks for the Land Co. with whom he dealt, never failing courtesy and fair dealing. Mr. Gwin would be pleased to mset those who are interested in this proposition and talk the matter over with them. -
