Pare and slice into a pie plate apples edough to fill pretty full. Cover' with a delicate pastry and bake until apples are done. No. undercrust or spices or sugar. When done deftly turn over top crust down on serving plate without breaking crust, gently mash apples with silver knife, covering all of crust Sprinkle sugar to taste, cinnamon and nutmeg .if liked. Dot with bits of. butter.
