Mrs. Burgett, of Kniman, canvassed the. town this week. Isaac Right made a business trip to Minnesota this week. Chas. Barker and family visited last week at Kingman and Yeddo. Pansy Bozelle went to Edinburg this week to spend several weeks. - Chas. Manderville, of Kentland, is visiting his people here this week. Mrs. Pearl Zellars has returned from a visit with friends in Lafayette. mi sa Fern McColly, of Virgie, was the guest of Miss Faun CaSey New Years day. Miss Mace went to Boone county -this week to visit and will perhaps stay until spring. Miss Lola Moore, of Lafayette,' visited with Miss Fern Casey a ctfuple of days last week.
The supper given at the hall Saturday night was quite well attended oonsidering the very bad weather. The ball Kessler’s hall Mondy night was quite well attended and a) -* seemed to have an enjoyable time. Mrs. Lulu DeKoker, of Demotte, visited her parents, Mr- and Mrs. James Clifton during the holidays. Rebecca Nowlen fell this week and hurt her arm considerably but it is thought no bones were broken. Aunt Hannah Culp, who has been confined to her bed from a fall she got about six weeks ago, is slowly improving. Walter McConnell, who, has been staying at the hotel while it was being painted inside, is - going back the first of the week. The young people are going out this Wednesday night to warm up the house for Mr. and Mrs. Frank Garriott, on the Lakin’s place.
