Boil together one cupful each of molasses and brown sugar, one tablespoonful of vinegar and three heaping tablespoonfuls of butter; when a little dropepd Into cold water la brittle, add one and a half cupfuls of blanched peanuts; remove from the fire, addone level teaspoonful of baking soda and one teaspoonful of lemon extract, beat hard, and pour into well buttered tins.
