Milk Extinguishes Fire.

Troy. y. Y-—Fire the other night destroyed the residence of John Donahue. near Greenwich, N. Y. There was no water available and in order to save adjacent buildings the farmers in the neighborhood brought thousands of gallons of milk, which was used to extinguish little biases started by flying sparks. Horse blankets soaked in the milk were spread over the roofs of several buildings.
