Kentland Outplayed, Blamed It To Official of the Game.
The Kentland high school went home and made a big “holler'’ about the decisions of the umpire in last Saturday’s football game. The team was penalized no more than the home team, and never, except fdr direct infractions of the rules of the game. The Kentland Enterprise does not fall for the complaint, however, and mentions it thualy: The Kentland high school football team were bumbled Saturday by Rensselaer. The Kentland boys played a good game and gained as much ground as Rensselaer, but on account at numerous penalties imposed were unable to score. Rensselaer succeeded in crossing the goal line twice, making a score of 11. The boys think the Rensselaer umpire should have worn the, uniform of his home team. But regardless of unjust decisions, such talk lacks the spirit of the game sport. Kentland this year has the best team in the history of the school, and the thing to do is to go ouLand win. The next game will be on the home grounds Saturday, Oct. 21st, Morocco contending for honors. This will be a good opportunity for Kentland to work up a little football enthusiasm by turning out and giving the boys support * \
