Elm Fed on Bricks.

Springfield, Mass. —In removing an elm tree to prepare for the foundations of tee new municipal building workmen discovered a bulging root gbout four feet In the ground. The root was cut open and Inside ward found two bricks, which the root completely enveloped. The specimen will probably be given to the Science museum.
