Mrs. George Chappell has been on the sick list several days. Miss Pearl Morris is visiting in Wol* cott since Friday evening. County Superintendent Lamson visited our public school Friday. Mrs. John Clarke is visiting her mother-in-law and son Virgil. Mrs. Hursh, of Illinois, is visiting her daughter, Mrs. Claude Kruzan. Mrs. Powell and sister, Mrs. A. C. VanVoorst, are visiting in Wabash. Earl Taylor has purchased Mrs. Dobbins' cottage on the gravel road. Mrs. Walter Gumm, Lillian and niece Dorothy spent Saturday in Logansport. Mrs. Chas. Beal and family, of Crawfordsville, are visiting relatives and friends. ■ Mrs. L. Raymond, of SC Anne, 111., spent Saturday and Sunday here with relatives. John Wilson is attending the reunion of the Blue and the Gray at N&shville, Tenn. Dr. and Mrs. Krebs, of Huntington, were week end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Townsend, ' The Remington high school beat the Gilboa team 19 to ~ in a game last Friday afternoon. A Christian Endeavor social is scheduled for Tuesday night at the home of Miss Dorothy Spencer. Mr. and Mrs. Hawkins have purchased the Mother Allman property on South Ohio street and will move into the same in the near future. The Presbyterian Ladies' Industrial society will hold a harvest home bazaar and serve dinner Thursday, October 12th, in the Bal com storeroom. Mr. Bracken and Mr. Frank, of the Frank Kelly Grain Co., were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kelly, visiting "Hazelden” in the afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Win. Broadie are making an auto tour between various points, including a visit in Lafayette with their daughter, Mrs. Clark Bartee. Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Beal, daughter Ruth and Miss Louise Hartman visited Rev. and Mrs. Gibson at Oxford over Tuesday night on their way to Crawfordsville. Mrs. Jas. Greene is seriously ill at her home, her sickness dating back three weeks. Miss Ethel, her daughter teaching in East Chicago, was home over Sunday. The burial of Mt. and Mrs. Walter 'Williams* little twin child occurred Tuesday morning in Sacred Heart cemetery. These parents buried the other little one in July. The Sew and Sew Club had a very pleasant session with Mrs. Walter Johnston last Friday. The October quarterly business meeting will be held Friday, October 13, in the town Park. Mrs. Sarah Beal, of Macon, Mo., and daughter, Mrs. Joe Morris, of Pontiac, Kansas, are visiting the Beal families. Mrs. Morris was born in Remington, moving to the west with her parents at the age of eight. This is her first visit in thirty-three years.
