Ed Oliver filled 1 his silos last week. His new barn is progressing nicely. Miss Chloa Martin is assisting Mrs. G. M. Beebe with her house work this week. , Lizzie Tow; who has been sick with typhoid fever, is some better at present. George Martin and son Charles attended the funeral of the former’s father. Mrs. Ed Oliver, Mr. and s4rs. Floyd Tow and Miss Mary Rees spent Sunday afternoon with J. C. Tow and family. Mrs. G. M. Beebe and daughter "Ella and Ruthr and Chloa Martin spent Sunday afternoon with Mrs. Jim Jefferies and family, of Gifford. Arthur Waymire and John Linback loaded two cars of hay at Newland last week, and all the farmers are bringing in onions by the w r agon load. There was Sunday school last Sunday at Newland at 10 a. m., preaching at 11 by Rev. Ellis, and a lecture by Mr. Wilson Sunday evening at 7 o’clock. There will be the same services next Sunday.
