Miss Marie Ott, who hAs been doing domestic work for Mrs. John Reed, has gone to Chicago. Miss Gladys Harrington is attending high school at Wheatfield and Miss Esther Wiseman at Rensselaer. Mr. and Mrs. Mat Petty returned to their home at Chicago Thursday, after several days' visit with relatives here. Miss Ada Florence has returned from a visit with her sister. Misses Elen or and Bertha Florence, at Remington. Misses Pearl Keen and Milly Hendricks, of Wheatfield, spent Saturday with the former's aunt, Mrs. John Reed. Mr. and Mrs. Waitman Reeder, of Remington, spent the latter part of the week with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Reeder. A pie social will be given here Friday night, October 13th, for the benefit of the Sunday school. A short program will be given. Misses Esther, Harriet and Etta Mellon, of Chicago, were here Saturday and Sunday, visiting their grandmother. Mrs. Mary Petty. Last Saturday, Mrs. John Reed was thirty-nine years old, and her friends Temembered her by > a postal shower. She received fifty-two cards and a number of beautiful presents. On last Saturday night a free dance was given at the hall and About two hundred attended. All spent a pleasant evening and went home wishing Mrs. Reed many more such birthdays. Sunday school was re-organized last Sunday and the following officers were elected for the year: Superintendent, Fae Bradford; assistant superintendent, Lizzie Wiyeman; secretary, Mrs. Erwin Edge; treasurer, Carrie Hahn; organist, Lizzie Wiseman; librarians, Lila Peek and Patience Florence. Sunday school at“10:30. .Mrs. John Reed entertained at 5 o’clock dinner Sunday evening the following young people: Mr. and Mrs. John Brooks. Galard Brown, Loretta O’Connor, Sabina and Alvistus Hart, m of Kniman; Wm. Brook and Emma Cooper, of DeMotte; Harriet, Esther and Etta Mellon, of Chicago: Frances Petty, Marie Ott, Fae Bradford and Charles Gasaway, of Virgie. - (
