E. N. Brown, president of the National Railways of Mexico, discussing In New York a railroader who was always out of work, said: “He is too quick with his tongue—that’s his trouble. He has a ready wit that he is too apt to use upon his boss.’’ Then, with a laugh Mr. Brown uttered this epigrammatic and true saying: - “Repartee has lost as many men. their jobs as it has made other their deputations."
