FACTORY PEOPLE WILL BUILD TEN NEW HOUSES.

Start New Survey of Plot Next Week 'And Will Follow by Erecting Good Cement Houses. P. T. Longachre, secretary of the United States Match Co., was here a short time yesterday and conferred with W. R. Meguire, the resident building manager and secretary and vice-president of the company. It was decided at the conference to proceed at once with the building oftea residence properties In the factory cabdivision, pushing their construction with all possible haste in order.to have them completed before the extremely cold weather sets in. The factory addition will be resurveyed because a number of corner stakes have been pulled up and the intention is to extend the main streets through and to grade the principal cross streets and the corners must be correctly established. It is probable that all the houses will be of cement construction with the stucco finish now no popular in the cities. Mr. Longachre is a cement man and building contractor and it is probable that various styles of architecture will figure in the building of the bouses. It is also probable that basements will be built to-all the houses and that a good sewage system will be constructed for the suburb. Aw much local labor will be employed can be procured for the building work this should be the busiest fall tn the history of Rensselaer.
