Small Force Working on the Gifford Road Near Crown Point

Crown Point Star. A small force is workfng at grading on the Gifford road, which is going quite slow, but Mr. Gifford seems full of energy despite his age and feeble health, and believes it will be finished as far as the Panhandle road, or here, iri' the course of a short time. He builds a piece whenever the spirit moves him, and there are no stockholders or partners in the deal to cause any friction. He is probably the only one man who ever started td build a railroad from the produce raised on a ranch, and has showed his hand for bull-dog grit, whether he succeeds or not.
