James Tyler has made some improvements about his farm buildings, including an addition to his house and remodeling of the old structure, and a general overhauling of his barn. James Tillett, of Peru, came up Fri-» day for a few days’ visit with his father, John Tillett, of Gillam, and othe? relatives. James Tillett owns the farm where F. D. Murray now lives. Trustee George - Parker has issued notices for the repair of the Randle and Gray ditches. The work is to be done this fall. Wm. McKinney had thirteen hundred and forty bushels of wheat this year. He had out the largest acreage in the county and the yield was about 15 bushels per acre. Mrs. Ida M. Lewis, of Lee, visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Miller. Miss Dora Phillip and Ethel er spent Friday and Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. R. C. McDonald. Practically every thrashing ring in the country intends to begin threshing this week, and if the weather stays good threshing will only last a couple or three weeks.
