Mrs. Corliss went to Surrey. Sunday to spend the day. Will Stiers and family went to Lafayette Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Stiers spent Sunday at Medaryville. Mrs. Carlson had company from Chicago the Fourth. Miss Thelma and Etha Noland called on Miss Lona Jacks the Fourth. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Noland and daughter Cora went to Michigan City Sunday. Mrs. Chas. Lefler and two daughters visited Mr. and Mrs. Sam Jacks Tuesday. Several from here celebrated the 4th at Francesville -and others went to Monticello. Miss Thelma and Etha Npland and Miss Lona Jacks went to Osborne cemetery Sunday. Mrs. Sam Jacks is still quite poorly with sciatic rheumatism. Her mother, Mrs. Lewis, is staying with her. Mr. and Mrs Chas. Jacks and family came Tuesday evening to visit his parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Jacks. An cream social will be given at Lee Saturday evening, July Bth, for the benefit of the church, on the lawn at 0. A. Jacks’. Everybody come. Monday evening Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hughes and family came to Lee and visited his parents until Wednesday morning, when they returned to their home at Goodland. Mr. and Mrs. O. C. Hughes and Miss Tillie Kopka, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hughes and three children, Oscar Jacks, Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Lewis and O. A Jacks and family celebrated the Fourth together.
