Nut Bread.
Beat up one egg and beat into it one-quarter of a cupful of sugar; add one teaspoonfnl of salt .and two cupfuls of milk. Mix four teaspoonfuls of baking powder with four cupfuls Of flour and sift this into the ofiber ingredients, adding at the same time one cupful of chopped nuts. Stir these all together until smooth and then make into two loaves; let them rise in pans for 20 minutes and then bake for 20 minutes in a hot oven. —■Harper’* Bazar.
