- Ed Oliver and wife called on Mrs. Jordan Sunday' afternoon. Miss Letha Rees spent Sunday afternoon with Mrs. Bowman. * Mrs. William Blacker called on Mrs. William Grube Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Blacker spent Sunday with Ross Booth and family. Wm. and Charles Black and Fred Beebe were Rensselaer visitors Saturday. Miss Mary Rees helped Mrs. T. M. Callahan clean house the last two weeks. Floyd Tow and wife and Miss Julia Oliver spent Sunday with J. C. Tow and family. Wm. Kennedy, wife and baby, spent Saturday night with Ed Walker and family of near McCoysburg. Ernest and Mary Rees and Luther and Lizzie Tow attended the funeral of James W. Campbell at Aix, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs, John Bower and Mrs. Newt Kaupke and baby spent Sunday with grandma Russel of near Gifford. Ed Oliver’s big new barn, automobile, haystack and part of his house burned Friday afternoon. There was a heavy insurance on them. J, M. Callahan and Mr. Tuttle of Chicago Heights made a business trip to Wheatfield, Kersey, and up to the Kankakee river and 6 miles north of Kersey.
