Have you noticed the newly painted church? Looks fine, don’t it? Paul Weglng lost a very fine colt Tuesday. Don’t forget the Sunday school convention at Rosebud, June 11th. Miss Mary Comer spent Saturday night and Sunday with Madeline Garriott. Miss Flossie and Irene Burns attended Sunday school at Brushwood Sunday. ' The graduates of Union township met Sunday afternoon at the Rosebud school house to select the class colors, motto and flower for the commencement. The funeral of James Wallade Campbell was held in the Brushwood church Sunday at 3 p. m. Burial in the Prater cemetery. Rev. J. E. Grimes and W. G. Schafer officiating. Rev. J. E. Grimes, presiding elder of the Lafayette district of the fruited Brethren church, delivered a powerful sermon on “The Spiritual Man," at Brushwood Sunday evening. Mrs. George Adair and son Harvey and Mrs. George, of Chicago Heights, attended the funeral of James Campbell'Sunday and are visiting relatives this week. Church announcements for May 28: Memorial services Sunday morning at 11 o’clock, subject, “The Transformation of the Sword." Sunday evening, Y. P. Q E. U. at 7 o'clock; preaching at 8 o’clock, subject, “A ministering Woman and a grateful Savior;” Oak Grove, preaching at 1:30 p. m., followed by baptismal service.
