Club was entertained by Mrs. Robinson Wednesday afternoon A party of four boys. Harvey Howard. McKinley Peck. Buck Chappell and Max Hargreaves are eaarplng out at Hoover s slough this week. Rev. Crowder received word last week of the death of his half-sister, Mary Elizabeth Crowder, on May Sth, at Silverdale, Staffordshire, England. The Fortnightly club ladies, have been planting bulbs and foliage plants in the town park this week. Donations of plants have come in from several sources but thbre is room in the park Tor further plantings. Remember the cause and help these club ladies to accomplish it. A quarantine was declared last Saturday night by the town board, upon authority of the: state board of health, because of scarlet fever. The churches were closed by the marshal, and Monday the year in both public and parochial schools was brought, to a close. The school books were left in the buildings' for fumigation and every precaution is being taken to prevent further contagion. The three cases at present are of a light character and no new cases are as yet developed. There has been more or less of this disease in the town since holiday week, and a disregard of quarantine regulations in some cases.
