Y. —Patrolman Pas- - qual J# Buffalo of this city, who was shot through the spine In a saloon brawl a few months ago, has been discharged from the hospital completely recovered, thanks to the unusual operation which was performed on him. It consisted of stitching together two-thlrds of the spina! cord, which had been shot away, and sewing up the envelope which covers the cord. The surgeons at the hospital marvel at the recovery of the policeman, because he was seized with paralysis in the lower limbs, and It was generally believed he could not live.
