Mrs. Rebecca Hemphill Underwent Operation That May Prove Serious.

Mrs. Rebecca-lipmphill, mother of Dr. F. H. Hemphill, is in Hahneman hospital, Chicago, where she was operated on Monday forenoon, having the left breast removed. Her condition is regarded quite critical and grave hopes are entertained for her recovery. After- passing a very bad night she rested during the early morning and was slightly improved when Dr. and Mrs. Hemphill left the hospital. Mrs. Hemphill is 59 years of age. She is being nursed by her daughter, Miss Mattje, who is a trained nurse. Dr. Hemphill will return there tonight if unfavorable word is received..
