HANGING GROVE.
Mr. and Mrs. Roy Bussell and James Downs spent Sunday with Mr. an;l Mrs. Gaylord Parker. C. J. Hobbs and Chas. Stevenson, of Kersey, took the milk train for Rensselaer Thursday morning. Mrs. John D. Miller was stricken with a light stroke of paralysis last week and is still unable to be up. Mr. and Mrs. John M. Johnson attended the funeral of the latter’s niece at Moaon Friday. It was a small child only a few months old. The warm rains the past few days are causing the meadows and pastures to green up rapidly. The hay crop will undoubtedly be good,this season. Robert Drake and M. L. Ford shipped a car load of hogs to Chicago Thursday night, and S. R. Nichols shipped a mixed load of stock to Indianapolis the same evening. H. E. Lowman has traded his Buicb auto for some real estate in Milroy. The trade was made with the Chapman boys and is probably the only machine in Milroy township. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Robison are back from Mitchell, S. Dak. Mrs. Robison has a growth on her upper lip that is causing her considerable trouble and the doctor at Mitchell could give her no relief, so they came back here and will probably locate in Lafayette; to be near a specialist Beginning with the first of May anrf continuing for one month, rural carriers will be required to determine the number and weight of the several classes of mail matter in and out on their routes, and make report on blanks furnished by the department It will require several minutes more to work the mall out in the morning and will also make a tedious record.
