Resolutions by Literary Society on Death of Mrs. R. B. Harris.
Whereas, Infinite Wisdom has seen fit to send into our midst and call unto Himself our esteemed and highly respected sister, Mrs. R. B. Harris; Be it resolved, that this club has lost one of its most loyal and coi£ sciencious members; one who was ul ways ready to do the duty assigned her with the utmost carefulness, and who did all in her power to make the work of the club a success; that the many virtues that go to make successful womanhood which Mrs. Harris possessed, viz., Christian character, loyalty to home and children, fortitude to bear bodily affliction without complaint, and sunny cheerfulness are well worthy our notice and emulaUon. * Resolved, that we extend to the husband, daughters and sisters our sincere sympathy in this hour of separation. May they exercise the faith which this loved one, who is gone, so firmly believed, and which was brought so vividly to mind on her burial day, that •The Crucified This truth triumphant taught; Love cannot die, Though on his pale, cold brow the death drops lie; For Death is Life glorified!” Resolved, that a copy of these resolutions be entered upon the minutes of this society, one be sent to the members of the family, and that they be published ini the daily paper. MRS. JNO. L GWIN, MRB. C. G. SPITLER, MRS. S. SHEDD, Committee.
