Sauce for Cottage Pudding.

A banana sauce for use with rice cups or cottage pudding is made by mixing into the pulp of half a dozen bananas three tablespoonfuls of sugar, the juice and palp of two oranges and a half glass of apricot or pear jam. Rub through sieve and color with drop or' two of carmine. Warm In double boiler and add t&blespoonful of sherry before serving.
