There are now seven new families in and around Newland. T. M. Callahan and wife attended church in Rensselaer Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Oliver spent Saturday night in Rensselaer. Miss Bell Tow spent Saturday night with Miss Julia Oliver. Ross Booth’s two children have the measles at present. Ernest and Samuel Rees were in Rensselaer Tuesday. Mary Rees spent Sunday with Lizzie Tow. Mr. and Mrs. John Williams and baby called on Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Blacker Sunday. . A car of household goods belonging to James Blacker arrived Saturday from Delphi. Miss Reva, Leona and Tommie Rees spent Sunday with their cousins, Thema, Nellie and Cecil Rees. Mrs. Del Bowman and Mrs. Wm. Gruber Called on Mrs. Wm. Rees Saturday afternoon. Wm. Kennedy, who formerly lived in Rensselaer, has moved to the east Rabbit Island farm, south of Newland.
