J. J. Lawler Making Improvements On Hts Big Newton County Farm.
J. J. Lawler, who is doubtless the wealthiest of all Jasper and Newton county land owners, is keeping abreast of the times by improving his farms in many substantial ways. The Lawler land near Fair Oaks, and across the line in Newton county, will have a half dozen wells sunk thiĀ» year and erected at the wells will be steel tower Perkins wind mills of the 1911 pattern, all equipped with the graphite bushing boxes and new oiling arrangement, which has proven a great thing for windmill preservation and perfection. The mills were sold by Judson H. Perkins & Co., of Rensselaer, and this firm will sink the wells and also construct 45-barrel tanks on the farm. The Perkins windmill seems to be the very best kind and Mr. Lawler gave this order after having tried a number of the standard makes.
