The cows brought here from Salem and sold under the direction of Frank A Bundy, were a very good class of cows, largely Jerseys. There were 20 head and they brought an average of $62.45 each, while the highest priced one went for 391. It was a fine Holstein and the purchaser was William Holmes. A number of thoroughbred Poland-China pigs, with which the papers were furnished, sold much too cheap considering the class. But the purchasers of the hogs were winners by the transaction.
