Landlord Fate is Now In Charge of The Makeever Hotel.
George Fate is now the Makqevei hotel landlord. - He has Glenn Grant working as clerk and has a colored bell fco;> in the person of Richard Burton, fiesh from the Grand hotel in Indiauapolis. He expects to have a uniform for the porter and his instructions will be to make things pleasant for the guests. He will jump to the walk and grab all the grips when the bus pulls up with a load of the traveling gentry, and say “Yes, sah, in a second, sah,” to the male guests, and “Deed I will Missus,” to the ladies. A professional cook, who has been engaged failed to arrive so far and Mrs. Fate, who is herself somewhat of a professional in charge of a kitchen, has kept the guests from going hungry. A colored lady has charge of the dish washing and the same girls will continue as dining room help that Landlord Brenner employed. The new landlord says that he will make a number of improvements at the hotel and will try to give it the sort of a reputation that will make traveling men talk about it wherever they go, and stay here over Sunday whenever there is a chance. Landlord Fate does things when he goes at it and he seems to be starting right in his new work.
