AS> the battleship Arkansas, Uncle Sam’s newest and biggest fighting craft, started down the ways at Camden, N. J., the other day, Miss STafy L. Macon.daughter of Congressman Robert B. Macon of Arkansas, smashed a bottle of champagne across the bows of the greaTTßßseL—The battleship slid into the water and the launching was most successfully accomplished. In addition to Secretary of the Navy Meyer and numerous other officials from Washington, there were present many people from Arkansas, but the governor and other offlcials_of that state were conspicuous by their absence.
