Experiments In Flowers.

"I have found that, in geheral, most white garden flowers are black, or nearly so, in ultra-violet light,” writes Prof. Robert William Wood in “A New Department in Photography.” in the Century. “Next summer lam going to raise some white flowers under glass, which will screen them from the ultra--violet rays during their development, and see if this makes any difference, for It has recently been found that the color of flowers is related to the color of the light which fall upon them.”
