Health Value of a Whistle.
Boys should be encouraged to whistle. It’s a good thing for the lungs and can be made something of an accomplishment by dally practise. To learn to whistle musically erne must begin with the scales and then by combination of sharps and fiats. After a time a single song may be tried with piano accompaniment. It is surpris lng what a range of music can be whistled. One can turn from a K »** solo to a tenor selection without effort Band music can be whistled. Any selection for the voice can be chlrpe<r through puckered lips. It is said that whistling boys are seldom troubled with bronchitis or pneumonia. Many medical men urge patients with weak lungs to whistle as often and as much as they possibly can without causing positive annoyanoe.
